Ahimsa is a fundamental principle of Life. Ahimsa means non-violence, non-injury or absence of desire to harm any life forms. Lord Mahavira Swami walked to various parts of India to spread the message of Ahimsa. Lord Mahavira taught that every living being is sacred and it should be respected just like we expect to be respected.
On Sunday, October 02, 2022, an Annual Run is organized by Shri Siddhachalam Tirth to spread the message of Ahimsa.
Running at Siddhachalam
Running at Shri Siddhachalam Tirth gives pure Joy. When you start at the top of the hill, near the Library, you are filled with vibrant air and breath-taking views of the Delaware Water Gap mountain range. There is extreme energy when you walk and run on the trails of Siddhachalam, passing through various Tonks of Shikharji, the small hills, Guruiji’s Tapasya Sthal and natural bodies of water. The entire trail network possesses vibrations of peace and tranquility. Many times you will see animals and birds as deer, geese, ducks, and peacock crosses your path in a peaceful gait as Siddhachalam is their home too. The terrain of Siddhachalam also gives a healthy dose of a workout as you climb up and down the rolling hills all over the Tirth. We, at Siddhachalam, invite you all to come and experience this wonderful place and Run for Ahimsa.
